Conduct: Lee Yap Kheang (“Mr Kheang”) breached his duties as the director of R&R ( Gloucester ) Ltd (“R&R”) by failing to ensure that it complied with legislative requirements in that: • R&R did not comply with its statutory obligations under The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 resulting in the employment of 3 people who did not have the right to work • Home Office Immigration Enforcement (“HOIE”) after investigating R&R issued a Notification of Liability for a Civil Penalty of £135,000 in respect of the employment of these workers, payment of which was due on or before 16 October 2024. • The company appealed at the County Court following which an order was made, with judgment to HOIE in the sum of £92,000. • R&R has not paid the penalty due to HOIE. • Mr Kheang was an appointed director of the company at the time of the breach of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality legislation
