Conduct: Ahmet Akoglu (“Mr Akoglu”) breached his duties as the director of Akdeniz Restaurant Trading Limited (“Akdeniz”) by failing to ensure that it complied with legislative requirements in that: • Akdeniz did not comply with its statutory obligations under The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 resulting in the employment of three people who did not have the right to work. • Home Office Immigration Enforcement (“HOIE”) after investigating Akdeniz issued a Notification of Liability for a Civil Penalty of £120,000 in respect of the employment of these workers, payment of which was due on or before 29 October 2024. • Akdeniz has not paid the Penalty due to HOIE. • Mr Akoglu was an appointed director of the company at the time of the breach of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality legislation.
