Conduct: Mr Mustafiz Khandaker (“Mr Khandaker”) breached his duties as the director of Taste Best Ltd (“Taste Best”) by failing to ensure that it complied with legislative requirements. In that: • Taste Best did not comply with its statutory obligations under the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 resulting in the employment of one individual who did not have the right to work. • The Home Office Immigration Enforcement (“HOIE”) visited the Company’s trading premises on 29 December 2023 and after investigating Taste Best issued a Notification of Liability for a Civil Penalty of £15,000 in respect of the employment of one worker, payment of which was due on or before 31 January 2024. • Taste Best has not paid the penalty due to HOIE and has therefore not complied with its requirements under the 2006 Act. • Mr Khandaker was an appointed director of Taste Best at the time of the breaches of the 2006 Act.
