Conduct: Mr Jie Jiang (‘’Mr Jiang’’) as a director of SF Callinton Limited (“SFCL”) failed to ensure that SFCL complied with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 resulting in SFCL to incur an unpaid Court fine totalling £37,000 for the imposed breach of Fire Safety Regulations. At liquidation, SFCL had overall liabilities of £70,853, in that: • Mr Jiang was appointed director of SFCL on 01 March 2022. • Under article 5(3) of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, companies are required to conduct reasonable and regular risk assessments and take adequate precautions as are reasonably required to ensure that a building is safe. • Following a failed inspection by Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service on 21 January 2023, an Article 31 Notice of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 was issued prohibiting the use of SFCL’s trading premises until several essential fire safety measures had been implemented. • On 26 September 2023 SFCL received a court fine including surcharges totalling £37,000 at Cornwall Magistrates’ Court. • SFCL entered Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation on 13 November 2023 with outstanding liabilities of £70,853.
