The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 01 January 2019 it was their estimated turnover. • Altmen was incorporated on 25 November 2019, and Mr Tamas was appointed as its director on 01 January 2020, remaining in office until liquidation. According to Altmen’s records, trading commenced on or around 28 November 2019 and as such an estimated turnover figure was permitted on the BBL application. • On 28 August 2020, Mr Tamas’ co-director submitted a BBL application declaring an estimated turnover of £270,000. • Altmen’s year end 30 November 2020 accounts show a turnover of £22,064 and a turnover of £85,209 for the year ended 30 November 2021. • No evidence has been provided to support the estimated turnover figure of £270,000. Based on the turnover for year ended 30 November 2021, the company would have been entitled to a maximum BBL of £21,302. • Total liabilities at liquidation were £55,977, of which, £43,861 relates to the outstanding BBL.
