As a result, it has not been possible to: • Determine the reason for payments totalling £5,286,258 from Fowler’s bank accounts between 17 December 2019 and 10 May 2021. • Determine the reason for receipts totalling £ 5,340,192 into Fowler’s bank accounts between 11 December 2019 and 28 April 2021. • Determine the reason for receipts totalling £665,806 from HM Revenue and Customs into Fowler’s bank accounts between 8 December 2020 and 28 April 2021, which relates to a third-party Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme claim, and whether those funds were subsequently utilised to pay the employment costs of furloughed employees during the Covid-19 pandemic. • Verify the true financial position of the company as at the date it entered into creditors voluntary liquidation and whether the information in the Statement of Affairs is accurate • Verify the existence, ownership, value and accurate disclosure of FBS’s assets. • Verify the true liability to HM Revenue and Customs (“HMRC”) in respect of Value-Added Tax, Corporation Tax, or income tax deducted from the emoluments of employees and subcontractors via Pay As You Earn or the Construction Industry Scheme. • Establish the extent of the Mr Fowler’s remuneration and the final balance of any director loan accounts.
