Conduct: Mr Yanxiang Li (“Mr Li”) breached his duties as a director of Peking Stars 2019 Ltd (Peking Stars) by failing to ensure that it complied with legislative requirements in that: Peking Stars did not comply with its statutory obligations under The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 resulting in the employment of 2 illegal workers. Home Office Immigration Enforcement (“HOIE”) after investigating Peking Stars issued a Notification of Liability for a Civil Penalty on 23 November 2020 for £20,000 in respect of the employment of the illegal workers, payment of which was due on or before 21 December 2020. Peking Stars was dissolved on 1 June 2021. Peking Stars 2019 Limited has not paid the fine due to HOIE and the full amount of £20,000 was outstanding at the date of dissolution. Mr Li was the sole appointed director of the company at the time of the breach of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality legislation.
