Conduct: On or around 10 June 2020 Mr Hristo Hristov (“Mr Hristov”) caused HV BUILDING SOLUTION LTD (“HVBSL”) to apply for a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £50,000 by providing an overstated turnover figure of £257,000, which resulted in HVBSL receiving at least £22,541 more than it was entitled to, in breach of the terms of the BBL. • Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. The turnover figure was self-certified by the applicant. The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 1 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover. • HVBSL was incorporated on 27 February 2019. • Financial accounts for year ending 28 February 2020 show that HVBSL’s turnover was £109,837. These accounts were signed by Mr Hristov and filed at Companies House on 4 April 2020. • On or around 10 June 2020 Mr Hristov applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of HVBSL declaring a turnover figure of £257,000. Mr Hristov has provided no evidence or explanation supporting the estimated turnover figure he provided in the BBL application. • On 11 June 2020 HVBSL received £50,000 into its bank account. • 5 monthly payments totalling £4,447 have been made towards the BBL account. • Total liabilities at liquidation amount to £59,239, of which £45,896 relates to the amount owed in respect of the BBL.
