Conduct: On 4 May 2020, Sabrina Sikander (“Ms Sikander”) caused SS Social Work Ltd (“SS Social”) to breach the terms and conditions of the Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) scheme by overstating its turnover on the BBL application, as a result SS Social received more funds than it was entitled to from the BBL scheme. In that: • Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. The turnover figure was self-certified by the applicant. The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019, or where a business was established after 01 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover. • SS Social was incorporated on 21 December 2018. • On 4 May 2020, Ms Sikander applied for a BBL of £30,000 on behalf of SS Social declaring that its turnover for the calendar year 2019, or estimated annual turnover was £125,000. • Accounts for SS Social for the period from 21 December 2018 to 31 December 2019, record turnover for the trading period to be £59,969. • SS Social’s bank account records turnover for the period 01 January 2019 to 31 December 2019 to be £62,788. • By making an application to borrow £30,000, SS Social received a BBL of at least £14,303 more than it was entitled to. • On 6 May 2020 SS Social received the BBL funds of £30,000 into its bank account. • SS Social made no repayments towards the BBL. • SS Social entered into Creditors Voluntary liquidation on 17 January 2023. Total liabilities at liquidation amounted to £31,000 of which £31,000 was the amount owed in respect of the BBL
