Conduct: On 06 July 2020, Mr Kaiser Zamir (“Mr Zamir”) caused Extremevapour Ltd (“Extremevapour”) to obtain a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £37,500 using an overstated turnover figure, which resulted in Extremevapour obtaining a BBL that was £37,500 more than it was entitled to. Mr Zamir also caused Extremevapour to expend £32,000 BBL funds for purposes that did not provide economic benefit to Extremevapour, in breach of the BBL terms and conditions. In that: • Under the BBL scheme, businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of its turnover. The turnover figure was self-certified by the applicant. The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 1 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover. The BBL was to be used for the economic benefit of the company. • Extremevapour was incorporated on 05 November 2018. • Extremevapour’s accounts show that the turnover to end of year 30 November 2019, was £1,606. • Mr Zamir applied for a BBL of £37,500 on behalf of Extremevapour declaring that its turnover for the calendar year 2019 was £150,000. • Extremevapour received the BBL funds of £37,500 into its bank account on 06 July 2020. • On 06 July 2020, a total of £32,000 was transferred to Mr Zamir’s personal account and no explanation has been provided. • Total liabilities at liquidation amount to £37,600 of which £37,500 relates to the amount owed in respect of the BBL.
