Conduct: Mr Carl Gilding (‘Mr Gilding’) provided inaccurate information in a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) application made on behalf of CAG Lifting Ltd (“CAG”), by overstating ‘CAG’ turnover. As a result ‘CAG’ received BBL funds of £50,000 on 28 July 2020, which was £33,984 more than it was entitled to.    • Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. The turnover figure was self-certified by the applicant. The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 1 January 2019 it was their estimated turnover.     • ‘CAG’ was incorporated on 29 May 2018 and began trading in May 2018    • Mr Gilding applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of ‘CAG’ declaring that its turnover for the calendar year 2019 was £250,000. The application was dated 23 July 2020.   • Bank statements for the period 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019 show the company income as £64,066. • The company was therefore entitled to obtain a BBL of no more than £16,016 • £50,000 was paid in to an account held by the company on 24 July 2020 as a result of the BBL application.   • The total liabilities at liquidation amount to £38,250 of which £32,016 relates to the amount owed in respect of the BBL.
