Conduct: Mr Jason James Elwell (“Mr Elwell”) caused Location Security Limited (“LS”) to misuse Covid support funding provided through a government backed Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £50,000 by failing to use the money for the economic benefit of the company’s business, in that: • On 10 June 2020, Mr Elwell obtained, on behalf of LS, a government backed Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) totalling £50,000 • The balance on the LS's bank account prior to receipt of the BBL was £417.58. • On 15 June 2020 £27,895.57 was paid out the LS’s bank account to Mr Elwell and on 01 July 2020 £13,426.75 was paid out the LS’s bank account to HMRC but not to any of LS’s tax debts. • There is no evidence these payments were for the benefit of the business. • LS went into liquidation on 08 December 2022 owing £46,139 on its BBL account.
