Conduct: On 02 June 2020 Harriet Lefkir (“Mrs Lefkir”) caused Nomads Property Ltd (“Nomads”) to apply for a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £48,096, using overstated turnover figures in the BBL application form. Consequently, Nomads received more monies than it was entitled to from the BBL scheme. Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. The turnover figure required was that of the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 1 January 2019 their estimated turnover, provided they were established and operating by that date. Nomads was incorporated on 11 December 2017 and Ms Lefkir was Director for the period 08 October 2018 to 10 December 2020 Mrs Lefkir applied for a BBL of £48,096 on behalf of Nomads on 02 June 2020 Company accounts for the Year ended 31 December 2019 were signed by Mrs Lefkir on 05 June 2020 stating the turnover as £148,063. Based on this annual turnover, Nomads was eligible for a BBL of no more than £37,015, Nomads received at least £11,081 more than it was entitled to. A BBL of £48,096 was received into the company bank account on 10 July 2020 Total liabilities at liquidation to trade creditors and Bank £249,811.
