Conduct: On 17 February 2021, Lee Darren Bradley (“Mr. Bradley”) caused Templar Groundworks Ltd (“TGL”) to apply for a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £50,000 using overstated turnover figures, which resulted in TGL obtaining a BBL that was at least £28,484 more than it was entitled to, in that: • Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 01 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover from the date that the business started. The turnover figure was self-certified by the applicant. • TGL was incorporated on 07 April 2017. • An analysis of TGL’s bank statements from 01 January 2019 to 31 December 2019 shows deposits into TGL’s account of £86,062 meaning TGL was entitled to a BBL of no more than £21,516. • On 17 February 2021, Mr. Bradley applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of TGL declaring that its annual turnover was £250,000. • On 19 February 2021, a BBL of £50,000 was paid into TGL’s bank account. • Total liabilities at liquidation amount to £56,571, of which £50,571 relates to the amount owed in respect of the BBL.
