Conduct: Rhys Edward Quick (“Mr Quick”) caused R & P Truck Cleaning Limited (“R & P Truck”) to apply for and obtain a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £50,000 on 12 June 2020 and subsequently used the funds for purposes that did not provide economic benefit to R & P Truck, in breach of the terms and conditions of the scheme. In that: • R & P Trucking was incorporated on 08 March 2017. • A business could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of their turnover in the calendar year 2019. It is required to use the Bounce Back Loan funds for the economic benefit of the company. • On 11 June 2020 Mr Quick applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of R & P Trucking declaring a turnover figure of £300,000 for calendar year 2019. • On 12 June 2020, BBL funds of £50,000 were paid into R & P Truck’ bank account. • On 15 June 2020 £46,000 was transferred to a connected party. • No evidence has been provided by Mr Quick that shows the £46,000 was used for the economic benefit of the company. • On 08 November 2023, R & P Truck entered Compulsory Liquidation with known liabilities of £301,649, of which £50,165 is owed in respect of the BBL.
