Element Flooring made payments totalling £31,843 towards its PAYE liabilities with the last payment being made on 21 September 2022 for £2,000. • Element Flooring’s prepared financial statements for years ending 31 July 2020 and 31 July 2021 record total creditors of £181,403 and £233,653 respectively. • Statements for Element Flooring’s bank account for the period 07 September 2020 to 26 October 2022 record payments into the account totalling £1,174,083 and debits from the account totalling £1,178,656. In the same period, HMRC received payments totalling £48,582 for VAT/PAYE/NIC and the directors received a net benefit of £251,790 between the four of them. • HMRC have claimed £266,394 in Element Flooring’s liquidation in respect of VAT, PAYE, NIC, penalties and interest. The other creditors total £13,707 for Trade & Expense.
