Conduct: Between 11 February 2021 and 21 June 2021 Mohammed Saifur Rahman (‘Mr Rahman’) caused Ecotronik Ltd (‘Ecotronik’) to breach the terms and conditions of the bounce back loan (‘BBL’) scheme by failing to use the BBL wholly for the economic benefit of the business, in that: • Mr Rahman caused Ecotronik to apply for a BBL of £25,000. This was received on 02 June 2020, resulting in a bank balance of £28,970. • Between 03 June 2020 and 10 February 2021, Ecotronik received £8,243 into its bank account and paid out £10,492. • The bank balance on 10 February 2021 was £26,721. Between 11 February 2021 and 21 June 2021, Mr Rahman caused Ecotronik to make deposits of £27,030 into a personal cryptocurrency trading account in his own name. • The company ceased trading by the end of October 2020. On 27 July 2022, Mr Rahman signed the annual accounts for the year to 31 October 2021 which stated that the company had been dormant in that period, despite bank statements recording banking transactions. • The cryptocurrency investments made by Mr Rahman resulted in a loss of most of the funds he invested.
