As a result, the company obtained £37,780 more than it was entitled to from the BBL scheme in that: • Under the BBL scheme, businesses who were established and operating before 1st March 2020 could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019. • M&H was incorporated on 21 May 2015 • On 04 June 2020 Martin Mademdzhiev applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of M&H declaring that its turnover for the calendar year 2019 was £250,000. • M&H received the BBL funds of £50,000 on 05 June 2020. • M&H operated one known bank account in 2019 which shows for the period 1st January 2019 to 31st December 2019 total receipts of £48,878.75. • Total liabilities at liquidation amount to £41,019 of which £38,662 relate to the monies owed in respect of the BBL.
