Conduct: Mr Ziauden Zozai (“Mr Zozai”), caused Said Rhaman Ltd (“Said Rhaman”) to apply for a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £50,000 using overstated turnover figures, which resulted in Said Rhaman obtaining a BBL that was at least £33,137 more than it was entitled to, in that: • Said Rhaman was incorporated on 20 April 2015 and commenced trading on 3 May 2016. • Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. The turnover figure was self-certified by the applicant. The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 1 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover. • Said Rhaman’s Accounts for the years ended 30 April 2019 and 30 April 2020 disclose turnover of £67,451 and £64,158 respectively. • On or around 2 July 2020, Mr Zozai applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of Said Rhaman declaring that its turnover for the calendar year 2019 was £215,000. • Said Rhaman received the BBL funds of £50,000 on 2 July 2020, which was at least £33,137 more than it was entitled to. • Said Rhaman entered Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation on 28 March 2022. • Total liabilities at liquidation amount to £94,235 of which £49,790 relates to the amount owed in respect of the BBL.
