Conduct: Nikolay Hristov Pazhev (“Mr Pazhev”) caused Nicksun Ltd (“Nicksun”) to apply for and obtain a government backed bounce back loan (“BBL”) of £47,000, which was more than the amount to which it was entitled, by submitting false or knowingly inaccurate information contrary to the terms of the BBL, in that: Nicksun applied for a £47,000 BBL on 24 May 2020, declaring turnover of £189,000. Nicksun received the £47,000 BBL on 26 May 2020. The BBL scheme enabled a business to obtain a BBL of up to 25% of its turnover for the calendar year 2019, up to a maximum amount of £50,000. Nicksun’s accounts for the year ending 28 February 2019 record turnover of £44,568, and its accounts for the year to 29 February 2020 record turnover of £25,782. Nicksun’s bank statements record turnover of £31,332 in the 2019 calendar year, which would have entitled it to a bounce back loan of up to £7,833. When Nicksun entered liquidation on 31 January 2022, it declared liabilities totalling £47,825, including a £46,798 BBL.
