Conduct: On 27 May 2020 Mr Slawomir Sierota (“Mr Sierota”) caused Tenia Trans Ltd (“TT”) to apply for a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £49,250 using overstated turnover figures, which resulted in TT obtaining a BBL that was £40,102 more than it was entitled to. • Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. The turnover figure was self-certified by the applicant. The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 1 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover. • TT was incorporated on 5 November 2014. • Mr Sierota applied for a BBL of £49,250 0n behalf of TT declaring that its turnover for the calendar year 2019 was £201,892. • Bank Statements show turnover for the calendar year 2019 was £36,589. • TT received the BBL funds of £49,250 on 29 May 2020. • At the date of the Liquidation on 20 February 2024, a total of £56,794 was owed to creditors, of which £45,959 was in respect of the BBL.
