Conduct: Andrew James Bradbury (“Mr Bradbury”) caused Manchester Fencing Limited (“Manchester Fencing”) to trade to the detriment of H M Revenue & Customs (“HMRC”) in respect of VAT between 07 September 2016 and April 2018 and in respect of CIS between April 2015 and April 2018, resulting in liabilities at liquidation totalling at least £119,196 (exclusive of surcharges), in that: • VAT liabilities totalling £74,413 are outstanding for the quarters ending 07/16 and the period covering the quarters ending 01/17 to 01/18 together with surcharges totalling £10,986; • CIS liabilities totalling £44,783 are outstanding for the tax years 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18 together with surcharges totalling £2,866 • At cessation of trade HMRC was Manchester Fencing’s largest creditor with debts totalling £123,268, out of total liabilities of £180,478. At this date trade creditors stood at £57,210; • According to accounts for the year ending 31 July 2016, Manchester Fencing’s turnover for the year totalled £404,299. During the year ending 31 July 2016, a total of £30,059 was paid towards VAT and £584 was paid towards CIS. • Payments from Manchester Fencing’s bank account from 01 August 2016 to liquidation total £1,326,250, including £784,662 for bill payments and £365,977 to staff other than directors. Mr Bradbury received payments totalling at least £45,113. During this period a total of £36,179 was paid in respect of VAT and £2,625 was paid in respect of CIS.
