Conduct: Tanveer Ahamed Peer Khan (“Mr Khan”) caused Matz Medical Limited (“Medical”) to provide false documentation including a fake NHS contract to at least two third parties in order to obtain investment and loan monies, causing a loss totalling at least £2,180,000 in that: • During the course of its trading, Medical held framework agreements through the NHS Supply Chain Framework, which allowed Medical access to NHS contracts; • The NHS Supply Chain has confirmed that all trading was suspended with Medical on 06 December 2019 following an audit of Medical’s premises; • On 18 March 2022, Medical entered into a Facility Agreement with a third party, receiving loan monies of £500,000 on the same day; • On 18 April 2022, Medical entered into a Purchase Order with an investor for £1,680,000 in order to purchase ICU beds to fulfil an NHS contract which Medical had stated it held, with these funds being received from the investor on 10 May 2022; • A number of documents provided to the lender and the investor by Medical were false, including an NHS contract with a value of £9,800,000, evidence of previous work carried out by Medical, and an email from the NHS confirming that ICU beds had been delivered; • The lender and the investor have both confirmed that they have not received any return on their investment, nor the return of the original capital. The total sum remained outstanding at Administration and there are no funds available for distribution to unsecured creditors; • Both the lender and the investor have stated that they would not have loaned monies to, or invested in Medical, had they known that the NHS contract did not exist.
