Conduct: Ms Katya Gospodinova Gospodinova (“Ms Gospodinova”) breached the terms of the Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) scheme by causing KGG Cleaning Services Ltd (“KGG”) to overstate its turnover on its application for a BBL resulting in the company receiving a BBL of £50,000, when she knew or ought to have known that KGG was only eligible for a loan to a maximum value of £9,376.25 in that:? • The BBL scheme terms allowed businesses to receive a loan of up to 25% of their annual turnover for the 2019 calendar year, which the applicant would self-certify when completing the BBL application.?? • KGG was incorporated on 04 June 2013.? • Ms Gospodinova declared on the company’s BBL application form an annual turnover of £220,000 for the 2019 calendar year, and consequently on 28 July 2020 KGG received a £50,000 BBL, the maximum amount available under the BBL scheme. • Bank statements for the period 01 January 2019 to 31 December 2019 show receipts totalling £23,462.56. • Financial accounts to 03 June 2019, record turnover at £28,840. • Financial accounts for the subsequent period to 03 June 2020 record turnover at £46,170. • Based on the above financial accounts, KGG’s average turnover for the calendar year 2019 was £37,505. • Based on the average turnover for the calendar year 2019 from the financial accounts, KGG was entitled to a maximum BBL of £9,376.25. • The overstatement of turnover in KGG’s application for a BBL, caused the company to receive £40,623.75 more than it was entitled to. • At liquidation, KGG had liabilities totalling £52,627.10, of which £44,483.15 was owed to the bank in respect of the BBL.?
