Conduct: Henry Asante-Frimpong (‘Mr Asante-Frimpong’) caused Krystal-Klear Supplies Ltd (‘KKSL’) to breach the terms and conditions of the Government backed Bounce Back Loan (‘BBL’) scheme by applying for a second BBL of £50,000 that he knew or ought to have known KKSL was not entitled to, as only one BBL was permissible per business, in that: • On 07 May 2020, KKSL applied for a BBL receiving £50,000 from Bank A on 13 May 2020. • Mr Frimpong applied for a second BBL on the same day (07 May 2020), receiving a further £50,000 from Bank B on 13 May 2020. On the application form for the second BBL Mr Frimpong declared, I/We confirm that this is my/our only application for a Bounce Back Loan for this business and I am/we are not part of a wider group which is in the process of applying for or has already received a Bounce Back Loan”. • As a result of the multiple applications KKSL received £50,000 more than it was entitled to from the government supported BBL scheme. • At liquidation KKSL had total creditors of at least £2,307,130 including amounts of £34,133 and £41,940 owed to Bank A and Bank B in respect of the BBLs.
