Conduct: On 10 August 2020 Richard Scott caused SYNK Events Limited (“SYNK”) to breach the conditions of the Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) facility when SYNK applied for a second BBL of £50,000. He knew or ought to have known that SYNK was not entitled to this BBL having previously applied for and received a BBL of £50,000 on 2 June 2020. • Under the BBL scheme business were able to apply for up to 25% of their turnover to a maximum of £50,000. Business which originally borrowed less than the maximum amount available to them under the Scheme were eligible to top-up their original loan, however the total loan amount was not to exceed 25% of the business’s turnover. Only one loan was available to businesses. • Mr Scott made an application for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of SYNK on 21 May 2020. The BBL funds were paid into SYNK’s bank account on 02 June 2020. • A further BBL application of £50,000 was made on behalf of SYNK on 10 August 2020. The BBL funds from the second BBL were paid into SYNK’s bank account on 11 August 2020. • Total liabilities at liquidation amount to £181,258, of which £100,002 relates to amounts owed in respect of the 2 BBLs.
