69.35 Registration of charges

The charge should be registered at the Land Registry under section 26 of the Land Registration Act 1925 and, in the case of companies, with the Registrar of Companies under the Companies Act as well.

69.36 Public Health Act 1936

A charge on property can be created in favour of a local authority that has incurred expenses on that property. The local authority shall, for the purpose of enforcing a charge under these sections, have all the same powers and remedies under the LPA as if it were a mortgagee by deed.
