Conduct: On 03 July 2020 Jonathan Greer (“Mr Greer”) caused Lusset Limited (“Lusset”) to breach the terms and conditions of the Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) scheme by overstating its turnover on a BBL application resulting in Lusset receiving more funds that it was entitled to from the BBL scheme in that: • Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. The turnover figure was self-certified by the applicant. The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019. • Lusset was incorporated on 20 November 2018, with the company commencing trading shortly afterwards. • On 03 July 2020 Mr Greer applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of Lusset declaring its turnover was £220,000. The BBL agreement was signed by Mr Greer on the same date. • Lusset’s accounts ending 30 November 2019 record turnover of £75,993. Lusset would have been eligible to apply for a maximum BBL of £18,998. Lusset received BBL monies of £31,002 more than it was entitled to. • On 06 July 2020 Lusset received the BBL funds of £50,000 into its bank account. • Lusset entered Creditors Voluntary Liquidation on 20 December 2022. Total liabilities at liquidation amounted to £50,000, of which the full amount related to the amount owed in respect of the BBL.
