Conduct: Dana Ahmed Saeed (“Mr Saeed”) breached his duties as the director of Today Restaurant Stoke Limited (“Today”) by failing to ensure that it complied with legislative requirements in that: • Today did not comply with its statutory obligations under The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 resulting in the employment of 2 people who did not have the right to work • Home Office Immigration Enforcement (“HOIE”) after investigating Today issued a Notification of Liability for a Civil Penalty of £90,000 in respect of the employment of these workers, payment of which was due on or before 5 September 2024. • Today has not paid the penalty due to HOIE. • Mr Saeed was an appointed director of the company at the time of the employments and the Home Office visit finding the breach of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality legislation. He resigned before the Civil Penalty was due, failing to take any steps to ensure the company met its obligations under the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality legislation.
