Conduct: Santokh Singh (“Mr Singh”) breached his duties as the director of GNS Builders Ltd (“GNS”) by failing to ensure that GNS complied with legislative requirements in that: • GNS did not comply with its statutory obligations under The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 resulting in the employment of four people who did not have the right to work. • Home Office Immigration Enforcement (“HOIE”) after investigating GNS issued a Notification of Liability for a Civil Penalty of £40,000 in respect of the employment of these workers, payment of which was due on or before 22 May 2024. • GNS has not paid the penalty due to HOIE. • Mr Singh was the sole appointed director of GNS at the time of the breach of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality legislation.
