Conduct: Mr Oussama Ben Abdelkarim (“Mr Abdelkarim”) breached his duties as the director of A&O Barbers Limited (“A&O”) by failing to ensure that it complied with legislative requirements in that: • A&O did not comply with its statutory obligations under The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 resulting in the employment of two people who did not have the right to work. • Following the Home Office Visit, during which this breach was discovered, the Company was issued with a CPN in the sum of £90,000, which remains unpaid; A&O has not paid the penalty due to HOIE. • At the date of the Home Office Visit on 12 April 2024, whilst Mr Abdelkarim was not present, records at Companies House prove that he was appointed as sole director of the Company and the evidence provided by the Workers indicated that he (i) employed both Workers found at the Trading Premises; (ii) controlled the tasks and duties to be undertaken by the Workers and the days and hours they worked; and (iii) paid the Workers.
