Conduct: Karzan Mohammed Ismaeel (“Mr Ismaeel”) breached his duties whilst acting as the director of Beckett Services Limited (formerly known as Beckett News Limited) (“Beckett”) by failing to ensure that it complied with legislative requirements in that: • Beckett did not comply with its statutory obligations under The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 resulting in the employment of 2 people who did not have the right to work; • Home Office Immigration Enforcement (“HOIE”) carried out 2 separate visits to the trading premises of Beckett and as a result issued 2 Notifications of Liability for Civil Penalties amounting to £30,000 in respect of the employment of 2 workers, payment of which was due on or before 31 July 2023; • Beckett has made no payment to HOIE in respect of the outstanding penalties; • Mr Ismaeel acted in the capacity of a director of the company at the time of these breaches of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality legislation.
