Conduct: Mr Haroon Rahim (“Mr Rahim”) breached his legal duties as a director of Woody Joe’s Ltd (‘Woody Joe’s’) by failing to ensure that it complied with its legislative duties, in that: • Woody Joe’s did not comply with its statutory obligations under Section 15 of The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 (‘the Act’) resulting in the employment of one individual who did not have the right to work in the UK; • Home Office Immigration Enforcement (‘HOIE’) carried out a visit to Woody Joe’s trading premises on 12 December 2024 and identified a single worker who did not have the right to work. • As a result, Home Office issued a Notice of Liability for Civil Penalty on 24 February 2025, amounting to £45,000 in respect of the employment of the worker • Woody Joe’s has not paid the penalty due to HOIE • Mr Rahim was the sole director of Woody Joe’s at the time of the breach of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality legislation
