Conduct: Jullash Uddin (Mr Uddin) caused Elvet Steakhouse London Limited (“Elvet”) to obtain a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £50,000 and failed to use the funds wholly for the economic benefit of Elvet in breach of the BBL terms and conditions. In that: • The conditions of the BBL includes a stipulation that the purpose of the loan is providing economic benefit to the business, including providing working capital, investing or supporting trading or commercial activity and not personal purposes. • Prior to receipt of the BBL funds, the credit balance on Elvet’s bank account was £9,133. • On 10 June 2020 Mr Uddin applied for a BBL of £50,000 BBL and received the funds into Elvet’s bank account on the 11 June 2020. • Between 11 June 2020 and 13 June 2020 payments totalling £50,086 were made to a connected party. Therefore at least £40,953 came directly from BBL funds and have not been shown to be for the economic benefit of the company. • Elvet entered Liquidation on the 14 May 2023 with overall liabilities of £65,017 including £50,000 owed to the BBL provider.
