Conduct: Mrs Hafsa Bi (‘Mrs Bi’) breached her duties whilst acting as a director of Mother India UK Ltd (‘Mother India’) by failing to ensure that it complied with legislative requirements in that: • Mother India did not comply with its statutory obligations under the The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 (‘IANA’) resulting in the employment of one illegal worker; • Home Office Immigration Enforcement (‘HOIE’) officers after investigating Mother India issued Notices of Liability for a Civil Penalty in the sums of £10,000 and £15,000 on 06 October 2022 and 04 September 2023 respectively in respect of the employment of this person; • Payments for these two penalties were due on or before 31 October 2022 and 04 October 2023 respectively; • Mother India did not pay either of the two penalties due to HOIE; • Mrs Bi was in office as the appointed director of Mother India from the date of incorporation on 13 February 2019 and at all times to liquidation on 05 January 2024 including at the time of these breaches of IANA legislation.
