Conduct: MATTERS OF UNFITNESS I caused or allowed Ready Set Glow (“RSG”) to obtain a Government-backed bounce back loan ("BBL") totaling £40,000, contrary to the terms of the BBL scheme. In that: • RSG was entitled to apply for one BBL of up to 25% of its 2019 turnover under the BBL scheme. A further condition of the scheme was that the proceeds of the loan obtained should be used solely for the economic benefit of the company • I applied for a BBL of £40,000 on behalf of RSG from a Bank on 11 May 2020, declaring its turnover to be £170,000. • As RSG had been incorporated in 2018 and been trading throughout 2019 in order for RSG to be eligible for a BBL of such amount its turnover/income during 2019 was required to be at least £160,000 • Analysis of the company bank account shows that excluding loans, interest, a VAT refund, refunded direct debit and bank charges and an insurance claim, RSG received £26,811 during the calendar year of 2019 • As a result of the overstated turnover figure of £170,000 in the BBL application, RSG received £33,297 more than it was entitled to. • The funds from RSG's BBL were paid into its bank account on 11 May 2020. • I was the sole director when the BBL application was made. • I failed to provide evidence that the BBL funds were used for the economic benefit of RSG. • RSG was placed in Creditor's Voluntary Liquidation on 23 March 2022 • No repayments were made by RSG in respect of the BBL • At Liquidation £40,000 remained outstanding to the bank with £6,700 to one other creditor
