Conduct: On 15 July 2020 Adam John Smith caused or allowed Summit Resorts & Developments Limited (“Summit”) to obtain a £50,000 Bounce back Loan (“BBL”) by providing false information to the lender about its relevant turnover, when Summit was only entitled to a maximum BBL of £10,301 in that: • under the BBL scheme a business that was established before 01 January 2019 could apply for a loan of 25% of its turnover in the 2019 calendar year, up to a maximum of £50,000; • on 30 May 2020 Summit applied for a £50,000 BBL and declared a turnover of £250,000; • Summit’s accounts for the 15 month accounting period ended 31 December 2019 show a turnover of £41,203 so Summit’s 2019 calendar year turnover cannot have exceeded that amount; • Summit went into liquidation on 23 March 2022 without having made any BBL repayments.
