Conduct: Mr Russell Marriott (“Mr Marriott”) breached the terms of the government backed Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) scheme by causing Goodcloud Ltd (“GL”) to overstate its turnover on its application for a BBL, resulting in the company receiving a BBL of £50,000 when he knew, or ought to have known, that GL was not eligible for a loan of that value, in that: • The BBL scheme terms allowed businesses to receive a loan of up to 25% of their annual turnover for the 2019 calendar year, which the applicant would self-certify when completing the BBL application.   • If a company was established after 01 January 2019, they were allowed to estimate the company turnover from the date the company started to trade. • GL was incorporated on 10 July 2018 and is said to have become active in November 2019. • Mr Marriott declared on the company’s BBL application form an annual turnover of £287,500, and consequently on 15 May 2020 GL received a £50,000 BBL. • Bank statements prior to receipt of the BBL shows receipts totalling £158.33. • This would have meant that GL would not have been eligible to apply for a BBL under the government backed scheme, as it did not have the required minimum turnover to obtain the minimum BBL of £2,000. • The overstatement of turnover meant that GL received at least £50,000 more than it was entitled to from the BBL scheme. • GL entered Creditor’s Voluntary Liquidation on 06 August 2025. • At liquidation, GL had liabilities totalling £77,110.71 of which £51,175.77 was owed to the bank in respect of the BBL.  • Mr Marriot has now paid the Liquidator £25,000, as has his co-director
