Conduct: Cherian George (“Mr George”) caused VALEWALL LIMITED (“Valewall”) to fraudulently obtain monies through the Government Guaranteed Bounce Back Loan Scheme (BBL) in that: On 25 June 2020 Mr George was appointed director of Valewall with his appointment backed dated to 2 October 2019. There is no evidence that Valewall was carrying business prior to or after 25 June 2020 or was engaged in trading or commercial activity as at the date of the BBL application, which is contrary to the terms of the BBL scheme. No accounting records have been delivered up for Valewall. Valewall obtained a £47,000 BBL on 25 August 2020 after opening a new bank account to receive the BBL funds. Between 25 August 2020 and 21 September 2020 other than the BBL, credits to the account were £3,850 Between 27 August 2020 and 21 September 2020 payments out of the account totalled £50,850: £250 to the director; £3,880 in cash; £46,720 to other third parties. The £47,000 BBL remains outstanding at liquidation.
