Conduct: Ms Aarati Patel (“Ms Patel”) breached her duties as a director of AKP Radha Limited (“AKP”) by failing to ensure that it complied with legislative requirements in that: • AKP did not comply with its statutory obligations under The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, to ensure that relevant checks were completed, resulting in the employment of three workers who did not have the right to work • Home Office Immigration Enforcement (“HOIE”) after investigating AKP issued a Notification of liability for a Civil Penalty of £45000.00, in respect of the employment of these illegal workers, payment of which was due on or before 12 January 2024 • AKP has not paid the fine due to HOIE • Ms Patel was appointed as a director of the company at the time of the breach of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality legislation.
