The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 1 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover. • BCLS was incorporated on 5 October 2017. • On 25 May 2020, Mr Racz applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of BCLS declaring that its turnover for the calendar year 2019 was £200,000. • BCLS’s company accounts for the year ending 31 October 2019 show a turnover of £52,674. Available bank statements show income into the company bank account between 1 November 2019 and 31 December 2019 as £7,978 meaning that the maximum BBL to which BCLS was entitled would have been £15,163. • BCLS received the BBL funds of £50,000 on 27 May 2020. • Total liabilities at liquidation amount to £54,435 of which £45,434 relates to the amount owed in respect of the BBL, with repayments made totalling £6,105.
