Conduct: Mr Hakif Bajqinca (‘Mr Bajqinca’) breached his duties as a director of Egzon Hand Car Wash Ltd (‘Egzon’) by failing to ensure that it complied with its legislative duties, in that: • Egzon did not comply with its statutory obligations under The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 (‘the Act’) resulting in the employment of five individuals who did not have the right to work in the UK; • Home Office Immigration Enforcement carried out a visit to Egzon’s trading premises on 28 February 2025 and identified five workers who did not have the right to work. • As a result Home Office issued a Notice of Liability for Civil Penalty on 09 April 2025, amounting to £200,000 in respect of the employment of five workers; • Although an Objection Notice was submitted by Mr Bajqinca, the penalty was upheld and the Objection Outcome Notice stated that this was due for payment on or before 16 June 2025; • Mr Bajqinca has provided no evidence to show that carried out sufficient right to work checks of the workers; • The penalty remains unpaid; • Mr Bajqinca was the sole director of Egzon Hand Car Wash at the time of the breach of the Act.
