Conduct: On 16 June 2020 Radoslaw Wasik (“Mr Wasik”) caused Transwas Ltd (“Transwas”) to make a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) application for £29,500 which he knew or ought to have known was more than Transwas was entitled to under the terms and conditions of the BBL scheme. Mr Wasik made a wrongful declaration by overstating Transwas’ turnover and as a result Transwas received more funds than it was entitled to. In that: • A business could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of its turnover for the calendar year 2019. • Transwas was incorporated on 21 September 2017. • Bank statements for the year 2019, show a turnover of £24,668 into the company bank account, meaning that Transwas was entitled to a BBL of £6,167. • Financial Accounts for year-ended 31 August 2019 show a turnover of £15,037. • Financial Accounts for year-ended 31 August 2020 show a turnover of £32,998. • Mr Wasik stated on the BBL application that the annual turnover for Transwas for 2019 was £118,000. • On 18 June 2020, a BBL of £29,500 was paid into Transwas’ bank account. • Transwas made repayments of £2,748 towards the BBL. • On 30 November 2022, Transwas entered Creditors Voluntary Liquidation with known liabilities of £30,398, of which £27,316 is owed in respect of the BBL.
