In that: VAT • The company was registered for VAT on 4 April 2017 • Hertfordshire submitted VAT returns for 15 quarters for the periods ended December 2018 to cessation, which disclosed a total of VAT amount due over this period of £205,916.49. • • Between 31 March 2019 to liquidation, Hertfordshire made payments and received credits totalling £76,922.62 correct? with HMRC having a liability of £174,219.55 at liquidation. • A Winding up Order was made against Hertfordshire on 29 March 2023 on the petition of HMRC. • HMRC has submitted a total claim as at the date of Liquidation for VAT and Corporation Tax of £239,722.93, of which £174,219.55 relates to the liability for VAT including penalties and surcharges. Skye Ebbs failed to ensure that Hertfordshire Refurbishment Ltd (“Hertfordshire”) complied with its statutory obligations to make payments to HM Revenue and Customs (“HMRC”) as and when they fell due and allowed Hertfordshire to trade to the detriment of HMRC from at the latest 31 March 2019 to 15 June 2022, when Skye Ebbs ceased to act as a Director for Hertfordshire.
