VAT registration was effective from 01 August 2017 with an agent authorisation dated 30 September 2017 • BD’s first VAT return for the period ending 31 October 2017 was due for submission and payment on 07 December 2017 • For the quarters ending 31 October 2017 to 31 October 2019 VAT returns were submitted for all of BD’s trading period. • On 08 November 2019 HM Revenue & Customs deregistered BD for VAT • On 22 November 2019 HM Revenue & Customs issued officer assessments for under-declaration of VAT for the periods ending 31 October 2017 to 31 July 2019 totalling £649,431 plus interest £21,410 • On 05 December 2019 HM Revenue & Customs issued an officer assessment for under-declaration of VAT for the period ending 31 October 2019 totalling £147,261 • Over the period 01 August 2017 to 25 December 2019 the income of BD totalled £4,634,980. No payment was made in respect of VAT.
