Conduct: On 20 October 2020, Dr Shahd Salha (“Dr Salha”) caused Salha Complex Inspiration Center Limited (“Salha Complex”) to make a wrongful declaration on a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) application by overstating Salha Complex’s turnover and as a result Salha Complex received BBL funds of £44,943 more than it was entitled to. In that: • Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. The turnover figure was self-certified by the applicant. The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 1 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover.       • Salha Complex was incorporated on 03 February 2017.   • Salha Complex’s financial accounts from 01 March 2019 to 28 February 2020 show the company’s turnover for the period totalled £20,229. • On 20 October 2020, Dr Salha applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of Salha Complex declaring on the BBL application that its turnover was £200,000 for the calendar year 2019. • Salha Complex received BBL funds of £50,000 on 29 October 2020.       • Based on the company’s turnover declared in its financial accounts from 01 March 2019 to 28 February 2020, Salha Complex would have been entitled to a maximum BBL of £5,057 and therefore the company received £44,943 more than it was entitled to. • Total liabilities at liquidation amount to £45,577, all of which relates to the amount outstanding in respect of the BBL.
