Amanda’s’) to breach the terms of the Bounce Back Loan (BBL) Scheme by overstating its turnover on its application for a Government backed Bounce Back Loan (‘BBL’) resulting in the company receiving a BBL of £50,000 which was in excess of the amount it was eligible for. In that: ? 1. Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover for the calendar year 2019. The turnover figure was self-certified by the applicant. ? 2. A .Amanda’s was incorporated on 28 November 2016 and trading prior to 2019. ? 3. The company’s bank statements from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019 show total receipts of £29,892.81. ? 4. The company’s accounts dated 30 November 2019, detail a turnover of £35,510.00 ? 5. On 22 May 2020, Mr Amadi, applied for a BBL and stated on the company’s BBL application form an annual turnover of £5,042,020. ? 6. Consequently, on 11 June 2020, the company received £50,000. Based on the 2019 Company accounts, this was £41,122.50 more than the Company was entitled to. ? 7. At liquidation, the company’s total liabilities were £61,253.67, of which £43,694.09 was owed in respect of the BBL.
