Conduct: Musey Grace Wayi-Wayi (“Miss Wayi-Wayi”) caused Altara Group Limited (“AGL”) to apply for and obtain a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £50,000 and failed to use at least £29,185 for the economic benefit of AGL, in breach of the BBL terms and conditions. In that: • On 02 August 2020, an application was made by Miss Wayi-Wayi on behalf of AGL for a BBL in the sum of £50,000. • Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for BBL of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. As part of the BBL application, applicants are required to confirm that the BBL will only be used for the economic benefit of the business and not for personal purposes. • The BBL funds of £50,000 were paid into AGL’s business current account on 03 August 2020. • In the report to creditors following AGL’s CVL, Miss Wayi-Wayi stated that AGL ceased to trade in “late 2020”. In an email dated 26 February 2025 Miss Wayi-Wayi confirmed to the Insolvency Service that she returned to “a permanent role” and no further consultancy contracts were obtained through AGL after November 2020. • On 28 June 2022, the £40,000 BBL funds remaining in AGL’s business premium account were transferred to a personal bank account belonging to Miss Wayi-Wayi. • £10,815 was paid into the company bank account by the Director. At least £29,185 of the £40,000 funds transferred into her personal account were not used for the economic benefit of AGL. • On 28 September 2023, AGL entered Creditor’s Voluntary Liquidation. Known liabilities total £71,248.60, with £42,080.55 owing in respect of the BBL.
