Conduct: On 18 October 2020 Simeon Boykov Simeonov (“Mr Simeonov”) Director caused Simonx International Ltd (“SIL”) to apply for a Bounce Back Loan (“BBL”) of £50,000 using overstated turnover figures, when he knew or ought to have known that SIL was not entitled to that amount which resulted in SIL obtaining a BBL that was at least £35,379 more than it was entitled to: • Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. The turnover figure was self-certified by the applicant. The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 1 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover. • SIL was incorporated on 12 June 2016. • On 18 October 2020, Mr Simeonov applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of SIL declaring that its turnover for the calendar year 2019 was £213,000. • SIL accounts for the year end o 31 March 2019 show turnover of £ 58,482 o 31 March 2020 show turnover of £ 56,317 • Based on 2019 turnover of £58,482 SIL was entitled to claim BBL funds up to £14,621 • SIL received the BBL funds of £50,000 on 26 October 2020. • Total liabilities at liquidation/administration amount to £46,141 of which £46,040 relates to the amount owed in respect of the BBL.
