Conduct: On 12 May 2020, Caroline Anucha (‘Ms Anucha’) provided misleading information in a Bounce Back Loan (‘BBL’) application made on behalf of CA Marketing Solutions Ltd (‘CA’) by overstating CA’s turnover. As a result, CA has received BBL funds of at least £35,950 that it was not entitled to. In that:    • Under the BBL scheme businesses could apply for a loan of between £2,000 and £50,000 subject to a maximum of up to 25% of turnover. The turnover figure was self-certified by the applicant. The turnover figure required was that for the calendar year 2019 or where a business was established after 01 January 2019 it is their estimated turnover.     • CA was incorporated on 13 April 2016.    • On 12 May 2020, Ms Anucha applied for a BBL of £50,000 on behalf of CA. During the BBL application, Ms Anucha was asked to provide CA’s turnover for calendar year 2019, or if the business commenced after 01 January 2019, its estimated turnover for the 12 months after it commenced. Ms Anucha declared in the application that the turnover for CA was £200,000.   • Accounts for CA for the financial year ending 30 April 2019 show turnover of £55,000, and accounts for the financial year ending 30 April 2020 show turnover of £1,200. CA’s bank statements show sales income for the 2019 calendar year of £21,900. At most, turnover for CA during 2019 was £56,200, meaning that the maximum BBL available to CA was £14,050.    • CA received the BBL funds of £50,000 on 13 May 2020, which was at least £35,950 more than it was eligible for.   • CA made repayments to the BBL totalling £1,789.52. Total liabilities at liquidation amount to £51,060 of which £50,706 relates to the amount owed in respect of the BBL, inclusive of interest.
